MNA Met 10 Group Ancillary Benefit Program

The MNA Group Benefits Met10 Program is a unique group benefit program available to MNA dues paying members that include some of the following features:

  1. For employer paid premiums (full or partial) for the following benefits offered, the MNA Group Benefits Met10 Program will provide a guaranteed 10% premium discount from the groups renewal premiums combined with a multi-year rate guarantee, see below:

  • Group Dental:
    • 10% premium discount
    • 5% rate cap on the next 2 renewals
  • Group Vision
    • 10% premium discount
    • 2 year rate guarantee 
  • Group Life/AD&D
    • 10% premium discount
    • 3 year rate guarantee 
  • Group Short and Long Term Disability
    • 10% premium discount 
    • 3 year rate guarantee                  

2. Any Voluntary (100% employee paid) Life/AD&D, Short or Long Term Disability the MNA Group Benefits Met10 Program will match the renewal rates, contract provisions and provide the applicable multi-rate guarantees.

3. For all other lines of coverage and/or administrative services, consolidated independent agent support services through Edge Insurance Group are included. Access to an online benefit enrollment and administration system are included. Depending upon the payroll provider, integration between the benefit system and payroll provider may be an option.  Other lines of coverage include:

    • Group Medical
    • Section 125/Flexible Spending Account Plans
    • COBRA Administration Services
    • Worksite Products (Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance)  

The MNA Group Benefits Met10 Program is available beginning with March 1, 2023.

  1. Effective dates are available on the first of every month throughout the year
  2. A best practice 30 day lead time is requested for new group applications  

Any dues paying MNA Member Organization that meets the following criteria:

  1. Has between 10 and 499 eligible employees
  2. Group situs is located in Michigan
  3. Has had group coverage for the past 12 months for the coverages offered
  4. Has an SIC Code that falls within the approved list (nonprofit SIC Codes are eligible) 
  5. Currently do not purchase their Dental, Vision, Life, STD or LTD coverages through an association program
